We've carefully selected the shipping options for each product on our site to ensure you receive the fastest, safest, and most reliable delivery service possible. Each item's delivery options will be noted on its product page, as well as in the shopping cart.

The best shipping companies are carefully selected to make sure your new furniture arrives in perfect condition. We currently ship throughout the continental United States. However, we have many international customers all over the world who heard about us or found our great deals online. We will work with your selected freight forwarder and will deliver your order to them at no charge! We love it when you love your furniture, and 99% of our customers are completely satisfied. We have the highest customer service rating of any US furniture company.

Your furniture is shipped using the fastest, safest, and most reliable method available. We operate several local warehouses and partner with the finest delivery companies in the country. We guarantee that you’ll receive your order from our professional delivery company based in your region. All our products are carefully shipped using a preferred service to provide you with the best delivery experience possible. In the case of a backorder or delay, we will notify you immediately and work tirelessly to get your order delivered as quickly as possible.

Our contracted delivery company will call you when they are prepared to schedule your delivery. We ship to Alaska and Hawaii for an additional fee. Extraordinary deliveries (e.g. extremely narrow doorways, high floor walk-ups, island location inaccessible by bridge, etc.) may require arrangements in advance and/or additional fees. As soon as you place an order, you will receive an order confirmation via e-mail. This means that we have received your order in our system and pre-authorized your credit card for the purchase. As soon as we receive your order, we automatically reach out to our suppliers to confirm that it is in stock and available for immediate shipment. If your item is on backorder or unavailable, we will void the pre-authorization and reach out to you via e-mail. If your item(s) are available for immediate shipment (within 5 business days), we will process the charges and submit the order for shipment.

Some of Modern Home Products are designed and packaged for direct shipment. If needed, due to a large number (8 or more) or the size/weight of the items, we may or may not deliver FREE to the room of your choice (unassembled). For your safety and convenience we will not deliver curbside or require you to carry anything inside. Inventory for all ordered items will be confirmed prior to shipment. No partial orders will be shipped. Most products ship in 1-2 business days from receipt of an online customer order. Standard transit times are 3-5 business days for shipment. All aspects of shipping are clearly marked on the product’s page and will be highlighted when checking out. All products in your order are shipped via the same freight company to the contiguous 48 states.

If your order is in stock and we process the charges to your credit card, it will be shipped within seven (7) business days from the date of your order. We will send you tracking information within 24 hours of your order leaving the warehouse to the e-mail address you provided when checking out.  SHIPPING FEES

We do our best to provide you with the most competitive shipping rates possible. For some products shipping will be free while other products will carry charges. This is determined by a number of things - including rules set forth by our partners that they ask us to follow, large items that require special handling, fragile items that require special packaging and so forth. In all cases, our shipping rates apply to orders shipped within the contiguous United States.

We can arrange shipping of any order all over the US. Furniture can be shipped either direct from our warehouse or direct from any of the shows that we are featured at. White Glove delivery – We have a large network of shipping companies that specialize in furniture delivery. They will bring the furniture inside your home and assemble (if required). For white glove quotes please call us at +1 (833) 682 - 6665 Business to Business – We can ship direct from our warehouse to your business. The furniture will arrive boxed and protected. Immediate quotes available. *please make sure to fully inspect your furniture once you receive it. If there is any issue with what you have received do not sign off on it and immediately contact us.

US Shipping Rates

For furniture, including mattresses and changing pads, shipping will be charged at 7% of the total price of the furniture ordered. For non-furniture orders, including Clothing and Decor: Standard Shipping method is USPS First Class mail. $10 shipping charge will apply to orders under $50 and free shipping will apply to orders $50 and above. Expedited shipping is available for soft goods only (clothing and most decor) and will be calculated at time of checkout.

International Shipping

Modern Home Centers currently offers international shipping to over 180 countries and several US Territories in partnership with Bongo International. We ship most items within 2-4 business days after you place your order. The delivery timeframe may vary according to the destination and the shipping option you selected at when you place your order. Each option has a different average delivery time. International Express – Shipments are delivered in a 1-5 days after it leaves our International shipping facility. International Economy – Shipments are delivered in a 3-15 days after it leaves our International shipping facility. These Shipping timeframes are in addition to the standard shipping time for an item to arrive at the international shipping facility from the MHC warehouse. Orders Containing Furniture and Non-furniture Items

Furniture requires special handling and ship methods, therefore, if your order contains both furniture and non-furniture items, please be aware that the furniture items will ship separately from the non-furniture items. You will receive separate Shipping Notification for each shipment as your items are shipped. Please note that rates are subject to change; please check the shipping price before finalizing your order. Rates apply to shipments within the continental United States.

Shipping Offer Exclusions

The minimum purchase amount for each shipping offer does not include gift wrap charges, purchases of gift cards or tax. Offer applies to Standard Shipping to one location and may be applied to Premium or Overnight Shipping for an upgrade fee. A $10 shipping surcharge on domestic orders applies to customers living outside the contiguous United States: Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico, Guam, American Samoa, Micronesia, Marshall Islands, North Mariana Islands, Palau and U.S. Virgin Islands. Due to size and/or weight, certain items bear a shipping surcharge, which will still apply. When shipping to multiple addresses, only shipping to the first address will qualify for shipping offer; Standard Shipping will apply to all other addresses. Shipping offers cannot be applied to purchases being shipped to U.S. Territories or APO/FPO addresses. Restricted items include aerosols, pressurized spray cans and alcohol-based products (hairspray, nail polish, nail polish remover, shaving cream, etc.). Due to air transport restrictions and regulations, these items are required by the U.S. Department of Transportation to be shipped by Standard Ground Shipping only. These restricted items are not eligible for Premium or Overnight Shipping.

DELIVERY

Most in-stock items ship within 3 business days of ordering; however items purchased during the weekend may take up to 4 business days to process. During promotional or during holidays it could take longer. Please contact us with questions in regards to your order. If you have any questions in regards to shipping please contact us. Please note that items ordered together may not be shipped out on the same day, and may come in multiple shipments. Occasionally items may be temporarily out-of-stock or backordered; in which you will be notified in either instance and will be provided an approximate date of shipment. Any shipping delays will be communicated to you at the time of your order; or should there be any unforeseen delay thereafter, you will be notified within 10 days of placing your order.

Our in-home delivery service is available with any size order for just one low fee, plus, we’ll even set up your new styles for free! Once you’ve found your perfect styles, our team starts finding the smartest route to get your purchase to you. We know that you’re eager to receive your new items, so we work hard to deliver your purchase in a timely manner and with care. To help us provide you with an exceptional experience, there are a few things you should know.

How to Place a Delivery Order

To determine what delivery options are available, you will be asked for your zip code while checking out. If your home is in one of the many areas where we offer in-home delivery and free set-up, you will receive a delivery fee as part of your total purchase.

What to Expect

You will be provided with an estimated delivery date based on the availability and stock levels of the items you purchase. If your merchandise is not in stock at the time of your purchase, we will contact you when it becomes available to schedule a delivery date. One to two days before your delivery date, you will receive a reminder phone call and text to confirm your delivery timeframe. In order to ensure there is plenty of time to deliver and set-up your purchase with care, all deliveries are scheduled in three-hour windows. Approximately 30 minutes before the delivery team arrives with your purchase, you will a phone call notifying you that that your items are on their way! The delivery team will bring the items into your home, set them up and place your new items in the area of your choice. In order to complete a delivery with full set-up, an adult 18 years or older must be present.

 

Delivery Time

Delivery times range of 2-21 business days from receipt of tracking information, depending on your location. Most often our furniture is in stock and available for immediate delivery. We generally ship orders from our warehouse within 2 to 4 business days, unless it's backordered. 

Where we deliver

Modern Home Centers will deliver and set up your furniture purchase to the following states: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee, Mississippi, Texas, Virginia and Kentucky. In addition, we deliver to many areas in Oklahoma, Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, Connecticut, Louisiana, Rhode Island and Washington, D.C. 

FREE SHIPPING

Free shipping is valid on all carpet & rug purchases over $100 on modernhomecenters.com. No code required. Valid on purchases made online only. Valid on standard ground shipments within the continental United States. Not valid on international or expedited shipments.

Truck delivery and shipping surcharges on over-sized or extremely heavy items will still apply (these charges are indicated on the appropriate product information pages and will be displayed in the shipping subtotal of your order). Orders typically arrive within 3-6 business days. Items shipped directly from the vendor or to Alaska and Hawaii have longer delivery lead times. This offer does not apply to International, Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico or Business Direct orders. We currently offer four shipping options within the United States: Standard, Expedited, Express, and Same Day Delivery (in select markets). When shipping to Canada, please visit modernhomecenters.com. Products qualifying for Free Shipping will be identified with "Free Standard Shipping". If you select a shipping method other than Standard, shipping charges will apply. The cost for shipping is based upon total order amount. When Will My Order Arrive?

Pre-Order: You can view the estimated delivery dates for products by clicking on the “Shipping & Returns” tab on the product page. Post-Order: For up-to-date order status, click on the “Track Packages” link in the My Orders section on the Welcome page on My Account. We’ll send you a shipment confirmation email with tracking information as soon as your items leave the warehouse.

Free Shipping?

Items marked FREE SHIPPING! on the product page will ship for free! In order to keep your costs down and our pricing simple, we either provide free shipping or, in certain cases, charge shipping per item. This charge, if any, is indicated in your shopping cart and covers ground shipping within the contiguous United States (click here for information on international shipping costs). We won't surprise you with any hidden charges or handling fees. The price you see in the shopping cart is the price you pay, with one exception: if you are shipping an order to Alabama, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, Wisconsin, we are required to charge sales tax. Beware of companies who mask their shipping charges and surprise you with prohibitive shipping and handling fees or oversize charges at the end of the checkout process. Make sure you know the total cost of your purchase when shopping around. Shipping surcharge applies to AK, HI, and U.S. Territories. Some items have specific shipping charges and are not eligible towards the qualifying amount for the reduced shipping rates or free shipping. Other eligible item(s) in your cart at time of checkout will still count towards the qualifying total. We keep it simple–our pricing is straightforward and all-inclusive, which saves you time and energy.

Shipping to Multiple Addresses

We want to save you time, so we offer you the ability to send products to more than one address within one order. It is easy to send your order to multiple addresses. For each item you add to your Shopping Cart you can select a recipient. You can also change a recipient during Checkout. 

CONDITIONS OF SALE

Conditions of sale We will gladly exchange defective furniture if returned in the original packing within 7 days of pick up. There are absolutely no refunds available. Any damage has to be reported within 36 hours. Our layaways are good for up to one year. It must be paid in full before delivery. If the layaway is not paid within a year the total amount paid will be lost without a refund or a store credit. Cancellation of a layaway is subject to a 25% fee of the total amount paid with the remaining as a store credit only. Once an order is placed with Best buy furniture, our process is to submit an order directly to the manufacturer on your behalf. This typically occurs within a 24-hour period after an order is placed by the customer. Once this step has been completed Best buy furniture, and thus the customer, become financially obligated to purchase the ordered merchandise from the manufacturer. For this reason, No cancellation is possible after the order has been placed. An average order takes 5-15 business days and in some cases can take up to 8 weeks. Again we do not cancel any order after it has been placed. Cancellation of an order after the order has been placed is subject to a 50% cancellation fee with store credit only. No refunds or credit will be available. If the merchandise ordered by you is not delivered by the promised delivery date we must offer you the choice of 1) cancelling your order with a prompt full refund of any payments you have made or 2) accepting delivery at a specific later date.

Damage

Please report any shipping damage at the time of delivery, prior to signing the delivery receipt. Failure to do so will release the delivery company from any damage claims. It is very important to carefully inspect your product before signing the delivery receipt. If the damage does not look like it is repairable, refuse delivery and call us immediately.  For customers receiving drop-off service, please inspect the packaging prior to signing the delivery receipt.  

Returns

All Accessories or Rugs can be Exchanged Only within 7-days from purchase date. Merchandise Exchange or Store Credit will be issued. A Non-Refundable down payment is required on all Lay-Away & Special Order Purchases.

Unless stated otherwise, Sales are Final, NO returns. Exchanges are subject to the dealer’s approval. A minimum restocking fee of 15% of invoice total will be assessed on dealer’s approved returns, exchanges, or cancellations. Once your merchandise arrives at our warehouse, we will call you to set up a delivery appointment. Most truck delivery companies offer appointment windows (usually 2-4 hours) between 5:00 pm and 9:00pm, Monday through Friday. And 10:00 am to 9:00 pm Saturday and Sunday.
